Apparently roadkill season opened last night -- I saw my first roadkill (a raccoon) of the season this morning....driver ahead swerved to bypass the poor thing....and I couldn't help thinking...it probably would have really appreciated the gesture a few hours earlier....and as I sit now I"m watching 2 big coons out in the snow foraging for the organic stuff I toss out the window...I guess it's time to pack up the feeders.
