Where did March go? Wherever it went it is gone and although winter is still trying to hold on Spring has definitely established itself. The longer days and Daylight Savings time is great too as I am able to once again head out with my camera after work.

Hoary Redpoll, Algonquin Provincial Park. March 22nd.
Finally! I may have, possibly, seen one in the past but this is the first time I have photographed one.

Bufflehead, Bluffer's Park. March 15th.
I was suffering a serious case of procrastination this weekend and didn't want to do anything. It didn't help that the weather was cold and grey on Saturday and looked like a repeat performance when I woke up on Sunday. However, the skies finally cleared so I headed out to see what I could see.

Long-tailed Duck, Colonel Samuel Smith Park Park. March 21st.
I don't visit Colonel Sam very often in the winter and this year was no exception. But the one day I did go was pretty good so next winter I will try to make an effort to pop in a little more often.

Tufted Titmouse, Dufferin Islands. March 9th.
I thought my dentist appointment was in April, so when I got the reminder call Friday morning, I booked all of Monday off. After the appointment I picked up a friend and headed to Niagara Falls to get this little celebrity.

Red-winged Blackbird, Humber Bay Park, March 24th.
Humber Bay is just a little over half way home from work for me so when the weather is nice I pop in. I popped in seven times in March.

Long-eared Owl, Tommy Thompson Park, March 8th.
TTP is one of my regular walks but for some reason I only took the walk out there once in March. I'm glad I chose this day.

Ruddy Duck, Windermere Basin, March 29th.
This was my first visit to Windermere Basin and I was a little disappointed to discover that you actually can't get out to the basin. But I will definitely be back as I was finally able to get my first Male Ruddy Duck photos. I expect with the right timing, a little effort, and a lot of patience future visits will pay off.

Eastern Screech Owl, Woodland Cemetery, March 29th.
Another celebrity who I have photographed before in previous years.

As usual all of my photos can be seen on my website.
