As further proof that  you should see why Blue Jays are going nuts even near the parking lot, I found them harassing this raptor at Riverwood in Miss'a today. Rather than mis-report to eBird, does anyone with more experience want to correctly identify this for me?

coopers hawk, hope they nest again there this year, they skipped the regular spot last year, I am sure they probably have several locations in Riverwood they like

Thanks!

It was interesting to watch the Coopers looking straight up at a Blue Jay in the branches above it, just before it flapped up and took a snap at it.

I wonder if this one might just be moving through as it's a juvenile. I'll have to keep a better eye out for it and/or others on my next visits.

I "think"  this may be a Juvenile Cooper's due to shape and colour of chest barring and also the eyes are light (not dark brown as for mature birds) ...
oopss didn't see the comment that you think it's a juvenile.   :D
