Below is a link to a VERY SHORT Youtube clip of a Toronto city council meeting discussing the effects on the bird population of an expansion of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Jet engines are even more dangerous to birds (and vice versa) than are propellor planes. For this reason, Ports Toronto, should the expansion go through, will tamper with bird environments and CULL BIRD POPULATIONS in the area, which will affect not only water birds and permanent residents, but also migrating songbirds.
