I saw the Tufted Titmouse around 10:00 this morning. It had moved over from the Lighthouse to the base of Peninsula A. Feeding on the ground and associating with a mixed flock of Juncos, Sparrows, Creepers, and Woodpeckers.
A good day for Sparrows overall. Besides dozens of Juncos, there were Song, Field, American Tree, several Fox Sparrows in the Baselands, and a Savannah in the field behind the guardhouse. The Vesper Sparrow appeared by the base of a tree while I was walking on the path between Bay D and the Marina.
A pair of Rusty Blackbirds were courting in one of the wetter areas just west of the Wet Woods. The male would give a soft tweedle each time he flared his tail.
