The Peel Birding Class was on its way to Long Point today and around 10am while passing thru Simcoe we spotted a flock of waxwings in Wellington Park. I spotted them from the car while waiting at the stoplight and after pulling over we had great views of them, 70+ birds with only a few of them being Cedar, about 90% of them were Bohemian! We had many other good birds today at Long Point but this was the surprise find of the day, I did not expect to get them this far south. Have there been other reports this winter of Bohemes this far south or even farther south?

I saw my first ever bohemian wax wings in Cambridge last week.  There were about 20 feeding on berrys.  Ran home to grab my camera but were gone when i got back.  Awesome birds.
