This afternoon, around 4 pm, I was watching the birds at the "guardrail" feeders in High Park when a fox appeared in the brush on the Grenadier Pond side of the road. It was about 20 feet away, moving south, and crossed the road. It followed the edge of the valley in the direction of Colborne Lodge. It was very alert, ears pricked, and appeared to be hunting for voles or mice.
