Unknown song

I heard a song at Happy Valley (dense broadleaf forest) a few days ago I can't place. It started with kind of a clicking sound with a buzzing sound after, this was repeated about every 10 seconds for a couple of minutes. I didn't hear it again after that. I went through the songs from all the bird species that have been reported recently from there without finding any match. Any ideas?

Cerulean Warbler?
It has a two part song, second part being a buzzing sound.

It has the chip notes and the buzz, but I couldn't really find an example of the combination I heard. It definitely struck me as unfamiliar (I haven't seen or heard Cerulean before). Thanks for the help.

My impression was more of a bird song, I don't know insects having that kind of two-part song, but I'm not sure. The song came from the canopy.

Hi Thomas,

Definitely the call of a Scarlet Tanager (https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Sca ... ger/sounds). A Rose-breasted Grosbeak has very similar call to the first part but does not have the second "buzz".
