Yesterday during the morning myself and fellow work accomplice watched a Raven for more than 10 minutes acting very agitated.

It was atop the corner of the hanger that I walk by  on my way for my morning meeting.

I think a better description of it's behavoir would be, it was mental.

Something was near the corner on top of the hanger out of sight that it didn't like :!: . Dunno, maybe A Snowy resting   :?:

I saw a couple of ravens this past weekend feeding on a deer carcass (see my post on BE in backyard birding)....we have them up here but hard to get a good sighting...you hear them / see them flying overhead but rarely get to see them on the ground....so I was excited...had camera on hand...pulled off to the side of the road....I didn't notice a couple of older ladies pull in behind me....as I was getting focused, driver gets out and approaches me as I'm in my car getting ready to take pix....the ravens fly off....and she asked if I was OK.....damn good Samaritans....I had actually pulled over to take pix of a BE roosting in nearby tree but the ravens were a big plus for me...or would have been....sigh.

I saw a highly agitated Raven in Downsview Park this afternoon (24 Dec). I witnessed a tussle between the Raven and a Peregrine Falcon. The Raven was vocalizing so much that I looked up to see what the commotion was about and then I noticed them chasing each other in the sky. It went on for a minute or two before they parted their ways. I have a feeling that it was a territorial fight - the Raven might be nesting close by. I have seen it chasing Red-tailed Hawks too. Here's my eBird report from today and it has some photos of the incident.

Spotted Two Raven's @ Downsiew this morning just before 10 am.

They were near Ancaster and Powell rd. heading over the hanger there.

their vocalization gave them away.  :)
