I can completely relate to your kids enthusiastic response given the opportunity to photograph
a bird with a mug, featuring those coal-black eyes like something out of the X-files.
A broad flat face is hard to dismiss, like an orangutan's countenance, full of intrigue by virtue
of its projecting an arresting visage that is ripe with fanciful intimation. A look that drills into
your consciousness as only an owl's stare can deliver. I wonder if they dreamed about an owl
that night?
Very nice shot too. Lots of space and omni-directional light that carries the environment to
the viewer almost as effectively as actually being there. A photograph with implied sound and
ostensible chill. I feel like I was actually there.
