The weather was not too good this morning, so I didn't get any good shots of the 6 American crows that came to check out the feeder. And when I went in to dry my hair, I heard a bang, turned out to be a Cooper's hunting a Mourning Dove, both were on the ground. I went in to grab the camera, and they were both gone by the time I got out, with tiny feathers everywhere, but no blood... Hating myself. I think the dove got away, after they hit my glass door, the hawk lost the grip, and it would be too hard for him to haul the dove away, since it was pretty alive the 2 seconds I saw them.
I did see the killdeer again in the same location, didn't find any nest though.
