Thanks guys, for straightening me out .... I can be as twisted as all of last week and therefore need to be set straight as often as a vintage clock needs to be wound. Never could stand a yes-man, so I was not expecting a confirmation. The eye-ring looks more pronounced upon second inspection perhaps because my mind's eye wanted to see a Gray-cheeked thrush and therefore I saw what I wanted to see. My imagination still wants to see something other than a Hermit thrush and as a result I may create my own imaginary species: it's a Mourning thrush. I like that name ... it sounds half credible. Naming a species is a rush. In this case a thrush rush. OK, OK I'll go back in my room and behave.
