Juncos are back

As reported by Ally from Downsview Park, the Junco is back in the GTA and also in my backyard. Two of them are very busy in the tall weeds and are spending less time on the ground, which has some spread seed, than they spend aloft on the Goldenrod. Right now they are the only visitor therefore making their appearance both depressing and appreciated. Seems a little early this year. "What could that mean?", he said, rhetorically.

Six juncos today and lots of chickadees. The juncos spent most of their time on the ground rather than the GAMF (ground-above-my-feet).

I really really like chickadees beaks. Not a fan of Juncos, it's like they don't match with the rest of the outfit.

I noticed a few Juncos in my backyard too together with a pair of Hermit Thrush.
