Nope, I couldn't make it to Colonel Sam Smith Park to see the Lapland Longspur, either working or away somewhere else on that day. It was not seen the following day. On Dec 23, 2016 I drove to Long Point area to see and photograph a Smith's Longspur. and there was a Lapland in the mix too for a nice comparison. Here's two of them side by side from that trip.
