I saw two flew my direction, so I tried my luck and slided the door open. There he was, overloading his cuteness on the wall.

That canted angle in your photo is playing havoc with my vestibular mechanism. While your image is not actually in motion, the precipitous angle you've provided definitely suggests calamity in the offing and it makes me dizzy. Then again, it could just be that I've had too much coffee. Presenting the wall other than the expected vertical is something that would never have occurred to me because I'm too straight-laced, and yet it does justice to the nuthatch as an acrobat. I like the rusty-coloured encrusted surface, like the hull of an old ship, or part of a derelict submarine. I can feel it! Thank goodness you still use your camera. No one else seems to.
