Against a stark overcast sky these bluebirds were not much to warrant my attention and therefore easily overlooked. While thrushes are not large birds I'm always caught off-guard how diminutive the bluebird really is. Granted, that sounds as if I see then all the time, which is hardly the case. When I spotted a wind-blustered bluebird in a tree along the road I mistook it for something less interesting. It wasn't until I got it in my sights that I realized what it was. I then kept my eyes peeled for perched bluebird along the meadow fence.
