Osprey

[Shortsighted]

The atmosphere was so dismal I felt it was the beginning of a scary movie filmed somewhere in the Orkney Islands.  Even the strength of the wind was misplaced for June, clearly wrenched from some long-forgotten ancient day in November and delivered just to piss me off.  Why did I even get up this morning ... what was I thinking?  The answer appeared right in front of me.  It was an osprey, flying low enough to fascinate me while simultaneously giving me the creeps.  I grabbed hold of my hat, because even when I bought it on-sale I knew that there was something fishy about it.  Then I saw it.  That's why it was flying so low!  An osprey nest on a platform and no lightening rod in sight.  There was another osprey on the nest.
