I stopped to visit Cranberry Marsh and was surprised by the high water level, although based upon what I've witnessed at other locations I suppose that I should have expected it. There were no water fowl on the marsh within naked eye distance, just a broad expanse of ... not a lot. There were geese, gulls and terns on the beach but I didn't notice any unusual gull species like the Franklin, Bonaparte, and Laughing gulls at Ashbridges Bay. Mind you, I'm not well educated when it comes to gulls so there might have been Iceland gulls present. It was nice to see terns again, having not seen any up close since last year. There were just Common terns, no Caspian or Royal. A Common loon flew over and I waved.
