We have been temporarily staying in a friend's apartment in the south end of Rosedale. Most evenings we can hear several common nighthawks calling, but we can't see them due to so many overhead trees obscuring the view. A couple of nights ago, I was in a more open area and I heard the calls followed by two silhouettes wheeling just about the trees. They looked the right size, but the lighting was such that I couldn't see the white wing bars. Still pretty sure that was them.
