yes I know old man winter is going to freeze us up within hours. But with the increasing amount of daylight, my resident male Northern Cardinal decided to start early on his courtship display/ claiming his territory again. I have a feeling he will slow up for a few days.

Hi Tyler. Thank you for lifting me out of the doldrums of winter. I'm sure spring is not too far off and I hope our local Cardinals here in Willowdale will soon start flexing their vocal chords, too.

I have 2 sometimes 3 males and 1 female visiting my feeders and I find that the males are constantly displaying territorial sub and dom behaviour...

I heard one yesterday as well, down in the Guild part of Scarborough.  I think it was just happy to have a bit of a warm day!
