Eastern Towhee in my yard!

How happy was I, on such a gloomy day, to look out my back window at my feeders, fully expecting to see only the usual juncos and sparrows, and lo and behold there was an Eastern Towhee! He was hopping around amongst the seeds on the ground. But by the time I came back with my camera, he was gone.

I live in the Bluffs area of Scarborough, and I do occasionally see them in Bluffers Park, but a first for my yard.

What I presume is the same towhee was back again on Monday late day and Tuesday morning. I felt bad for him as he shuffled around in the snow trying to uncover the seeds that were on the ground. Luckily the better temperatures are only a few days away.
