Good Afternoon
Today Diane Hasley joined me as I walked The Islands. Migration has again slowed down there for most species but some like the B. Orioles and R-B Grosbeaks have increased.
Following are some species seen by Diane and I.
Hooded Merganser, B-c night-Herons, 2 Cooper's Hawks, Least Flycatchers, Eastern Phoebes ( on territory ), 14 Warbling Vireos, Swainson's, Hermit and Wood Thrushes, Gray Catbirds, Brown Thrashers, both Nuthatches, 17 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers ( including 2 nests in under construction ), Purple Martins, Rough-winged and Cliff Swallows, both Kinglets, Nashville Warblers, 2 N. Parulas, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Palm and Black-and-white Warblers, Ovenbirds, Common Yellowthroat, 2 Swamp Sparrows, White-crowned, 9 Chipping, Field and Savannah Sparrows, 19 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and 14 Baltimore Orioles.
