I live in the neighbourhood just above Bluffers Park in Scarborough, and although most of the time my backyard visitors are the usual suspects, once in a while, if I'm around to spot it, I get a nice treat.

I happened to be home this morning and have been periodically looking out the window to see what's going on. So far I've seen a black-throated blue warbler, yellow-bellied sapsucker, and an ovenbird. My usual suspects for the day include both white-throated and white-crowned sparrows, kinglets, cardinals, chickadees, grackles, house sparrows, and doves.

I'll keep watching and see what else pops up!

We live near Gerrard and Broadview and every now and then we get some nice surprises too. This Sunday, we were visited by a winter wren, several Nashville warblers, and our first white throat of the season.
