Brant geese in Ajax...

Greetings!

Yesterday we found a group of 6 Brants to the east of the water treatment plant in Ajax. They were feeding like mad and more worried about the dogs than us.

One had a limp and was being kept away from the test of the group.

Getting there:

Take the 401 to Westney road and head south. Turn right at Lake Driveway and take it to the end. You can park there. The geese were in the grass between the parking lot and the water treatment plant.

Rotary Park is also in this area.

Cheers,

Bernie

Visited the area today and the geese weren't present.  That was at 4pm.

The Hudsonian Godwit was still at Rotary Park Marsh and could be easily seen via scope/bins on the north shore.  Also present for a couple of minutes were a merlin, a northern harrier, and some 1st and 2nd winter great black backed gulls.
