There was a pair there.
Very active today flying all over the forest. Not concentrating on one area which made it difficult to get some good shots.
I'll have to go back and try again.

Meghan, You are getting some great subjects to photo. Love your barred owl and this woodpecker especially. I've yet to see one. Congrats!

but I've spent so much time trying to get one of these & I never win......they are smart & fast!!!!
BUT ONE DAY.
I would ask you where but then again they really are everywhere...we just gotta keep our eyes open.
