I met Photoman and mkybear at Lambton Woods on Sunday.
While we were snapping Downies and Hairies the Red-bellied flew right over our heads into this tree!
Checking us out.
You can see the red belly in this pic.

Nice pics of a beautiful bird. I've never seen the "red belly" and actually wondered how it got it's name

Great pics, I was at Lambton Woods once and it was lovely, hope to return soon

I too had wondered how/why this bird got its name.
