On a walk with my 2 year old son I spotted some interesting birds, even a few surprises.
1 downy woodpecker
4 blue jays
1 cooper's hawk
1 red tail
1 raven chased into a tree by a murder of crows- only with great horned owls have I seen such virulent animosity
1 E. towhee grubbing in the leaves
5 male 1 female cardinal
1 male 1 female belted kingfishers
3 white throated sparrows
1m 1 f black duck
A nice day, especially given I went with such low expectations.
