Leslie Street Spit and Port Lands, Saturday 15 May

I birded with Tom Flinn today, in the wooded area at the base of the Spit and in the Port Lands through the green areas south of Unwin Ave. and east of Regatta Rd.

There were a decent amount of warblers (including Tennessee, Parula, Northern water thrush) at the base of the spit (although we only covered the eastern end of it), a large flock of Blue Jays moving through, and some Scarlet tanagers. In the Port Lands we had three Canada warblers and a Wilson's warbler, a Solitary Sandpiper, a Blue-headed Vireo, and an Eastern Kingbird. The most interesting species are listed below:
