Is that a recent image?  Tundra Swans are uncommon in Ontario at this time of year.

This was taken today at Lemoine Point in Kingston. The strong winds lately may have been keeping it in our area.

I saw tundra swans when I was at amherst island in January 2 years ago. Nice photo.

I saw Tundra Swans in Port Credit back in February.  One was tagged and I reported it.  He'd been making some trips around the area from Burlington at LaSalle Park in February '09, up to Honey Harbour area (Midland area) on August 23rd and then back down to Port Credit as I stated in February '10  I'll be keeping an eye out for them this winter again.

The swans with the yellow wing tags are Trumpeter Swans.  They're part of a reintroduction program to eastern North America.  Tundra Swans are strictly migratory (for now at least - Canada Geese were too 60 years ago) with most birds passing through west of Toronto.  The easiest way to separate them is the yellow spot near the eye on the Tundra.

Tundra Swans are pretty common this time of year along the Lake Erie shoreline in Ontario.
