I participated in the Toronto CBC today in the High Park area.
Birds were generally scarce away from feeders, but at least it wasn't too cold or windy. The unofficial total for our section was 47 species. We had some nice surprises:
Great Blue Heron
White-winged Scoter
Eastern Towhee
Northern Flicker
and some surprising misses:
American Crow
accipiter species.
The numbers are still being tallied, but my impression was a general lack of "winter" birds" and unusually large numbers of Winter Wrens and Red-winged Blackbirds (single flock).
