I was in the UK over the holidays and treated myself to a day with Jack Fearnside of BirdingLondon (
http://www.birdinglondon.co.uk/index2.html). Everything was thoughtfully organized. I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel and given snacks and lunch.
As we have all heard, the weather has been nasty in the UK and foggy conditions prevented us from birding coastal habitat. Still, we saw over 70 species in so-so conditions. This was my first trip to the UK and I enjoyed several lifers on the day.
Jack also gave me accurate information which helped me find a Tawny Owl in Kensington Gardens the day after our outing. When I returned home to Toronto, I found a six-page trip report with photographs in my email-box. I recommend BirdingLondon highly.
