Well, its almost february and I still haven't managed to find any. Anyone know anywhere where they are being seen regularly in Mississauga? (or Oakville, near parts of Etobicoke?)

This is probably late for your reply but I have see 15-20 Redpoles on a regular basis at Jack Darling park in Mississauga. They usually hang around the bridge area between Jack Darling park and Rattray marsh. I was there on Sunday Feb 13th and lots still around.

Thanks, I actually found some there a while ago (although closer to 40 or 50 than 15-20, and including at least one hoary):

We saw about 30 or so in the spot mentioned above on Saturday the 12th...  mind you, some Gold Finches were in the mix (I heard them) but every visual I focused on was a Redpoll.  As for Common or Hoary, I'm going with Commons...  tried to get some pics to look at them over the computer, but they all look like Commons to me (even though I am not 100% on what to look for other than a smaller beak).

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.
