On the way up the 400 today while headin gup to Vaughn Mille there was what I believe to be a Red Shouldered hawk hunting the ditches on the southboud side just above hwy 7. A bit larger than RT's and there was no distinctive Tail plus he looked almost identical to the pictures of the RS hawks in my field guide.
As we left the mall and headed south fro there, there was a RT hunting the rainage ditch surrounded by the clover leaf hwy entrance form teh Mall to the 400 south bound. He was literally about 6 feet from teh car window and pacing us at about 70 KPH as we crossed over teh bridge. My wife instantly complained that whenever she forgets her camera is when we see them so up close and personal.
