Yonge and York Mills

This morning at around 8:25 AM I spotted what I believe to be a peregrine hunting the grounds over the Miller Tavern. I was driving my bus at the time so I couln't take too long attempting to ID it but it was hovering with that peregrine style flap they do and had long tapered wings. It then dove out of my line of sight and I was forced to return my attentions to the road in front of me.
I drive Yonge Street every morning mon to fri for another week and a half so I will be more prepared tomorrow and I will try to get there a few minutes earlier just in case so I will have time to stop at the bus stop for a minute or 2 and see if I can get a decent shot with my camera.

Peregrines hover as well as Kestrels?

Jaedon, I wasn't aware that Peregrines hover. It would be great if you could get a shot of it without holding up your passengers too much, of course <g>. OT, many decades ago we used to ice-skate behind the Jolly Miller.

Well it was definitely too big to be a Kestrel. I haven't seen the bird again since that morning but I have been keeping my eyes open. Hopefully it will be there again doing the same thing I saw which I referred to as hovering and I can get a decent shot of it.
