Taken last month from a boat in Lake Toho.  North America's rarest raptor.

Great shot, although it is not the rarest raptor in north america, perhaps the rarest breeding raptor?

Thanks Reuven and also for the clarification.  Although the Snail Kite is common in Central & South America it is only known to breed in North America in Florida.  That said it is still locally endangered and quite rare in the States.  It was estimated there were between 10-50 pair in the 1940-1950's although that number has increased to approximately 300 and perhaps up to 400 hundred now.
