Don River trail - great morning for birding!

I went for a jog and ended up getting distracted by the returnees.

-gold crowned kinglets - at the base of Beechwood opposite the side of the DVP. there were 6 in the coniferous trees. Also saw 1 or 2 in the trees on the actual path
-robins
-american goldfinches
-3 tree swallows
-cardinals
-possibly a pileated woodpecker....didn't see it, but it may have been an incredibly loud hairy woodpecker
-likely a mockingbird, but looked a little smaller and with longer patterns (1-2 minutes for each of the 3 patterns)
