at noon, I was there with my wife (and with a 50 mm lens, not the zoom, natch) and we spotted a beautiful male about 15-20 ft up in a tree in the middle of the park. It flew towards the trees that lined Woodbine Beach.
also had some amazing looks at some kingbirds, that were perching nice and low.
*edit* i returned at 4 PM. next-to-no bird activity to be seen (except for the orioles).
when walking towards the parking lot, i saw 2 tanagers sitting in the tree together. 1 flew immediately, 1 lingered and then flew towards Woodbine Beach/the trees along the wooden boardwalk.
10 minutes later, I saw another tanager fly across the path approx. 100 m from the parking lot. I was able to take many pictures of him as he casually ate from a tree. he flew away and i observed the same male in the trees just east of the base of Ashbridges Bay Park (towards Woodbine Beach).
