walk into a bar. The warblers order vodka and honey, the gnatcatcher asks for a Cape Cod and the tern chooses a shandy.
All right, fine, there's no joke there. Anyhow, here are 5 recent pictures without any rhyme or reason to their collectiveness. Also, collectiveness might not be a word. I hope all is well with you folks. It's a nice time of year. I didn't care about the little birds in the treetops last year but this year they mean a lot to me. When binocular birdwatchers glare at me I tell them "But I'm one of the good photographers who actually likes birds and doesn't want to hurt them or scare them or bludgeon them with camera lenses so as to taxidermy them and keep them in the basement with my war memorabilia." Actually I don't tell them any of those things, but I do sometimes tell them jokes like "3 warblers, a gnatcatcher, and a tern walk into a bar." Usually they look at me like they hope I'll die really soon, and I don't blame them! I'm underslept! Where's the coffee! I don't have to work today! Why am I awake?
All the best,
David B.
