Over the last few years - since the passing of my dog, the chipmunk population has exploded around my house...this spring, threatened the same...I'm not sure when it happend...but they seem to have all disappeared. I don't know if that means a predator has moved in...or disease...I haven't found any dead ones or partial chipmunks.
