Hey!!

Yesterday an Eastern Phoebe was seen flycacthing  in our yard as well as next door.

It was very close to the ground and at times on the ground.

I noticed this behavior last year as well.

The few pics I took didn't turn out too well, my lense is acting up.

also spotted

Scarlet Tanager
Great Crested Flycatcher (wakes us up every morning at around 6 am)
Hairy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Blackburian Warbler (Thanx Adonbirder)

Cool.

The Phoebe is likely nesting or has already nested nearby, perhaps under an eave on one of the homes.

Re: Phoebe nesting nearby

I think your correct the Phoebe has been around again today.

It makes an interesting snapping sound when it catches a bug.

Yesterday just after posting the thread while raining look who showed up.
