Hi everyone.  I was walking around Maplewood Park today from 12:20-1:20pm and sighted the following:

New baby Robins x 2 with mom nearby doing something which appeared to be peeling/stripping (?) a worm!

Blue Jay x 1

Cardinal x 1 (male) - arguing with squirrel sitting on same tree branch.  Squirrel reached out with it's paw and swatted the Cardinal, Cardinal flew to nearby branch, not a happy camper.  Squirrel proceeded to eat some sort of buds on the tree branch.

Chipping Sparrow x 2 (1m, 1f)

Cooper's Hawk x 1 (female sitting quietly in nest)

Crow x 1
Goldfinches x 2 (1m, 1f)
Starling x 1

Maplewood Park:  East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave.

Wow, this morning at 9:30am, same nest as listed above - 3 medium size baby Robins standing on rim of nest.  Beautiful colour/plumage!  They are approximately one week old.   :)

One week old?? I knew it! The worms are on steroids and they STILL can't get away from the robins! :)
