Thought I would give a quick update on this area.
As I've posted before, parts of the trail are a mess due to construction. My favourite birding area, which is between Beachwood and Pottery Rd, is completely torn up due to construction. Its probably decreasing some of the bird #s.
Over the past 2 days, I spent 2 hr walking the area. Lots of warblers to hear, nothing to see. Too much foliage and the trees are quite high. In the past, I've had some great looks at yellow warblers (just south of Beachwood on the intersection that leads to the train tracks) and orioles.
No sign of the regular herons, but its too early in the year. Did see the usual swallows.
Saw the local kingfisher squawking about. otherwise, not a whole lot to see.
