I took this beaver photo at the end of March 2009.It was taken on the banks of the lower Don river just to the south of the footbridge at the end of Beechwood drive. When there is a very heavy rainstorm the beaver must get washed down the river because afterwards you can see them swimming back up along the edge where the current is less strong.I was videotaping one of them running around on the bank when,to my surprise, a second one showed up.

I saw a beaver at 5:30 today on the west side of the Don just north of the Bloor viaduct where the river meets the bicycle path:

I saw a beaver at 9PM today diving beneath a pile of logs that have become lodged under an abandoned railway bridge. The bridge crosses the Don River beside Riverdale Park.

This evening at 7:30 I was watching swallows under a Don River bridge north of the Bloor viaduct which connects Bloor to the DVP and I had 2 suprise animal sightings. I saw a young buck eating vegetation on the northwest bank and to the southwest I saw a beaver walk up a stony bank and reenter the river with some green branches that it ate. (In the same location where I took photos in March.)
