5 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES in the northwest cell this evening around 5:30 or so. Not much habitat otherwise here, but we did manage a few LESSER YELLOWLEGS and some SPOTTED SANDPIPERS. Ruddy Ducks in the northeast cell.

Nice find!
When one cell was drawn down last year there were hundreds of shorebirds in that cell, but I guess the water levels are too high this year.

Yes, the levels in the main lagoons are high. The shorebird sprinkler cells have not been turned on so there is no habitat there, though we noted a lot of Horned Larks in this area.
