Sorry the photo isn't very good.. the bird stayed very high in the trees and the light wasn't the best. The bird was very vocal, seemed to be too big for a warbler?

Red-eyed Vireo?

It seems like a vireo to me, the white underpart and the black stripe through the eye indicates a Red-eyed vireo. Did you happen to notice the eye-colour as it can't be seen very well in the picture?

With that dark eye stripe it is definitely a Red-eyed Vireo. Don't go by the colour of the eye... unless you have it in very good conditions, it is not always possible to see the red iris.
