Photographers,

We would like to add another moderator to the Bird Photo Corner who can help monitor the status of the forum, keep an eye on any misdoings, moderate, edit posts, and promote some guidelines for proper conduct.

Ideally this should be someone who is active and well-respected by the other photographers. I've spoken to Andy (who runs this site) and agreed to let you choose your own moderator. So, anyone who feels inclined to volunteer, please send me a pm, or if you want to suggest someone else (ask them first) and then let me know, and I'll compile a list and then we can have a vote here in the forum.

The holiday season is upon us, so I know this is busy times for many (me included) so I let you think about this for a while. But please send me your names before the end of the year.

Any questions or feedback is welcome.

Thanks,

Andreas

Hi,

There was only one volunteer who stepped forward, mr.sharp-photo, so he has now been assigned moderator here. Be nice to him :-)

He could probably use some help, so if anyone feels like becoming a moderator down the line, just send me a pm.

Thanks and Happy New Year,

Andreas

Yes, absolutely, and that's not all: the man has a warm and funny sense of humor. Or, humour. A rare commodity these days among certain bird people. We're so lucky to have these birds in our lives and we must stop pretending to know what they think and feel and instead be lightened by their presence...just remember what Lindbergh, that bastard, said:

..."If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than airplanes."

isn't there a cheese named after that dude? :)

i moderate another board and, 99.9% of the time, this board needs zero moderation. other than one poster's poor behaviour, things are great on this site.

so yeah, you won't notice a difference....except that I accept bribes of semi-cheap alcohol.
