Number 9 is a Nene (Hawaiian Goose), number 8 is called Red-crested Pochard. Were these pictures taken at a zoo, as some of these birds (like Nene and Wood Duck) are not native to Hong Kong?

Thanks Thomas for the ID on 9 and correction on 8.

Not exactly a zoo but an open pond/aviary in a local park.

The owl and swallows are in the wild.

Thanks Egret.

Normally I would get tons of bird shots there but this time round that was all. There was really heavy rain and lightning storms almost every day of the 7 weeks I was there. That sort of put a damper on things and one does not really want to venture out into the hills in those conditions.

Almost every day was like this :(

Great shots, its nice to see what birds look like from other places, even the smallest differences.

Too bad about the weather, but those are cool shots too.

I enjoyed them all
