Does anybody have an idea where I might go in and and around the Durham region to find one of these birds? The closest I have read about is a hooded to the east of King City and of course a prairie in Carden. I was wondering if there might be any closer to home (which is Bowmanville).

I have two little boys and with gas prices being what they are I try to stay close to home.

Thanks

Tough ones to find!  Your could try the ebird sightings map.  You just put in the species and date range (current year).  It's also useful to check the "show points sooner" box.

You could also look in the ONTbirds archives since lots of birders still don't use ebird.

Good luck!
