There were some shorebirds around, most interesting were Sanderlings, Semipalmated and Least Sandpipers and Lesser Yellowlegs. Another highlight was a mystery yellow warbler, with black eye and thin black necklace, which unfortunately disappeared before I could check more details.

Good selection of shorebirds, fall migration is upon us already!

I'm sure you've already thought of everything, but did you consider MOWA? The bib may have come across as a necklace if you only viewed it for a short time.

It could have been a juv. Mourning Warbler, which have more of a necklace. The head was too yellow though, and there was no sign of a white eye-ring. Didn't really fit with Hooded either, so I have to leave it I guess.
