Summer is a "time out" from the birds really, and time to take in the tiny ones we share the planet with...

This one greets me every time I open my shed door

A Webworm Moth

Milkweed Beetle

Candy Striped Leafhopper

"Come to my parlor" says the Spider

Dead Flies make great photo subjects

I was actually photo'ing the echinacea when the bee showed up

This bee sure looks content in the pumpkin flower

One very happy Spider

nice series....the spider you have most likely is a cross spider, Araneus diadematus but from the angles in your shots, it is not definitive. The cross is definitely there but there is another Araneus species in our area that has a cross pattern. I love the leafhopper....cool shot and colour!

Great close-up pix. What you have labelled as a milkweed beetle is actually a milkweed bug.

Thanks guys!

The Leaf Hopper was really cool.  Hanging out in the Sunflowers.  So tiny though, like an eighth of an inch!  I will see if I can get another few shots of the Spider.

Milkweed Bug.  Gotcha.  Thanks.

How about this shot Gary?  I took it this morning, same Spider.  And I posted another set, "Spider Close-up" and it also is the same one.

Thanks!

Canon Rebel T1i and some shots were with a Tamron macro lens (forget the specs right now).  And some were with my Sigma 500mm lens.  Seeing these pics again makes me miss the buggy days of summer.
